They picked how many pounds of apples??

For my birthday I got the hankering to go apple picking. So we packed into the car and headed to Levering Orchard in Va. It was beautiful there, not to mention a break from the 90 degree weather was also a treat! We were up on a mountain, each of us with a bucket.The kids were pretty fearless climbing the ladders to the tops of the trees for the "best" apples. We were on a slope too, which made the ladders a tad bit scarier... When the kids finished filling their buckets to the top, they decided to fill ours to the top too! We figured "How many pounds could this be?" I mean really, 6 buckets can't be that many pounds. We drive back down from the orchard to the "weighing station". The guy tells us we have 55 pounds of apples! "They picked how many pounds of apples?" "55?" WHOAH! That's alot of apples. The guy only charged us $15 though, so I think we made out pretty well all in all. Now I need to figure out what to do with all of these apples...
