Well, it's that time again. Staples is having their penny sales! Although the sale for this week continues until Saturday, the penny sale finishes up today.You can get two of each of the following: 8 pack of BIC Roundstic pens, Staples White School Glue, and Staples cap erasers. If you are a teacher with a teachers rewards card though, you can really rack up. I got 25 packs of each. I have 200 pens. If I ever hear my husband ask me to find him a pen we may have some unforeseen medical bills in our future. They are also having 25 cent deals too, but the limit is 2 whether or not you are a teacher. I got two packs of mechanical pencils and some cool poly folders. For 77 cents I got some composition notebooks too. This isn't the best price on these, but some had graph paper in them. I got a few of these. I always need graph paper and I never want to pay what they ask for it halfway through the school year.
Here are some guidelines to help you shop:
1. You must spend $5 to get the penny deals. I got some cool binder clips and things that I needed that were on sale for $1 in our town.
2. Go on Sunday. They don't open until 12 in some areas, so check first. I went on a Tuesday and I had to go to 2 stores to get everything I wanted. This sounds like a pain, but I got some things at the second store that they were completely out of when I tried the first store. I also got 2 more poly folders.
They should have the ad out for next week in the next few days, which should include more penny deals. Usually, they have 2 or 3 per week for a few weeks. My favorite one is the two pocket folders. We use these for lapbooking mostly.
